If you’re looking for a care home for you or someone close to you, we’re more than happy to help. We’ll provide more information on our locations, the types of stays and what care we offer.
We can also answer your queries on jobs, work experience and insurance.
Short stay
Shorter stays are usually for a few weeks at a time, or have an end date. We also offer day care, so prospective residents can experience what a care home is like before moving in permanently.
Permanent
Permanent stays with us have no defined end date.
Dementia care
At Bupa, we offer two types of dementia care:
- Residential dementia care provides 24-hour care and assistance in a safe and secure environment
- Nursing dementia care gives residents care and support from qualified nursing staff
Huntington’s, Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis
We can provide residential care for those living with long-term conditions such as Parkinson’s, Huntington’s or multiple sclerosis. We’ll tailor the care to residents’ personal requirements, meaning they’ll get the care they need at all times.
Nursing care
If a health condition means a resident needs extra care, we can provide 24-hour support. Residents get the benefits and assistance of living in a care home, with nursing care when needed.
Palliative care
Our care homes also offer palliative, and end of life, care. We provide respectful and proactive care whilst ensuring all residents needs are met, be it physical, mental or social.
Physical disabilities and neurological conditions
In many of our homes we can provide care for residents over 18 with neurological conditions, such as:
- acquired brain injuries
- physical disabilities
- learning difficulties
Post operation and illness care
We offer shorter stays in our care homes for those who are recovering from an operation or hospital stay. You might also hear this called ‘convalescent care’.
Residential care
Residential care homes are for those who need assistance with their day-to-day life. We’re responsible for cooking, cleaning and personal care. This means our residents can relax and are safe and secure.
Respite and short stays
We’re able to provide respite or short stays to those who need it. Whether it’s a temporary stay or day care to experience what living in a care home is like, we can help.
Private
Private funding is when the resident or someone close to them pays for the care home fees. A common way to pay for funding is through the sale of a house.
Local authority
If eligible, the local authority can offer either full or partial funding for care home stays. How this is paid to the care home depends on where you live.
