Leaders in Partnership
Leaders in Partnership is a volunteer head teacher mentoring program. Managers within BUPA develop one-to-one relationships with local school head teachers, with the aim of supporting the development of school management.
With the Leaders in Partnership programme, the head teacher benefits from learning new management techniques to help them with the running of their school, whilst at the same time, the BUPA manager is given a valuable management development opportunity and a different perspective on leadership and management skills.
Helping a partner in the public sector on the Partners in Leadership programme has been a really rich experience, because we have shared insights from our different backgrounds. Rather than just being 'top-down' mentoring,
it has been a two-way exchange of ideas and suggestions for improvement. Everyone involved has found it an eye-opening and useful experience.
