Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise is one of the UK's leading business and enterprise education charities. It offers a range of programmes based on the principle of "learning by doing", bringing volunteers from businesses into the classroom to work with teachers and students.
How does the programme work?
Some of the Young Enterprise programmes enable students to run their own company, whilst others use games, hands on activities and role plays to develop skills and capabilities for business and enterprise.
BUPA employees have supported Young Enterprise across the UK with enterprise days taking place in London and Staines for a number of years.
In 2006, the UK Membership finance team in Salford took the programme to a new level, committing one hour a week to volunteer at Stretford Grammar School. The scheme is still going strong today.
BUPA employees can volunteer for the Young Enterprise programme through Community Connections. It is very important that all volunteers working with children have CRB clearance and Community Connections is happy to help each volunteer with this process.
It is so rewarding to work on the Young Enterprise scheme.
I wanted a volunteering scheme in which I could really use my business skills and it's fantastic to be able to teach the pupils about the working world!
