Welcome to Community Connections
At Bupa we don't just pay lip service to our brand statement of "caring for you as an individual". We take it very seriously and this is reflected in the work we all do everyday.
As part of this Community Connections helps ensure that we identify and address some of the health and wellbeing needs of the communities in which we live and work. Our volunteering programmes have traditionally focused on the UK but are now increasingly gaining an international flavour, in line with our overseas expansion.
In addition to this, the Bupa Group gave £5.8 million to UK charities in 2008, including £358,962 raised by staff which was matched by Community Connections. We also encourage employee volunteering and last year 6,971 people volunteered 50,000 hours of Bupa's time, valued at over £439,100.
