The Bupa celebrity cook book - Around the World in Sixty Dishes
Bupa staff members have found a novel way to celebrate Bupa's 60th anniversary as well as help raise funds for cancer charities.
The Bupa celebrity cook book "Around the World in Sixty Dishes" includes recipes donated by world famous chefs including Delia Smith, Gordon Ramsay and Brian Turner as well as recipes from staff members around the globe.
The recipe book is on sale for £5 plus postage and packaging with all profits going to charity. Funds raised will be split three ways between Cancer Research UK, The Royal Marsden Hospital in London and Sutton as well as Christie Hospital in Manchester.
The recipe book has been entirely devised and developed by Bupa staff and is supported by Bupa through its Community Connections initiative, which encourages employees to volunteer help and support to the local communities in which they live and work.
Val Gooding, Bupa Chief Executive, said:
"Bupa has a long and proud history in supporting charities and our Community Connections department was set up with the aim of recognising, assisting and supporting all the good work already being done by Bupa people in their local communities and to encourage more people to get involved. This book is an extension of all of this good work and a fitting part of our celebrations to mark 60 years in health and care."
You can buy the cook book online at the Bupa Shop: www.bupa.co.uk/shop
At the moment the cook book is only available for pre-order, and will be released on 20 November 2007.
