Twelve paintbrushes, one classroom
11 August 2006
Twelve Bupa International volunteers are set to don their overalls and paint the reception classroom at St Martin’s Primary School in Brighton.
Friday 28 July is the date in everybody’s diary for a team-building exercise with a difference. Paul Pitfield, Corporate Advisor at Bupa International said: “The whole team is looking forward to the opportunity for us to do something for our local community.
“The day has been designed to assist us with building team-spirit, whilst at the same time providing long-term benefits to the school by providing a bright learning environment for their pupils.”
The exotic colours chosen for the classroom’s makeover are lemon tropic and peacock blue, with the first pupils to enjoy the freshly painted classroom joining in September.
Linda McMillan, head teacher at St Martin’s said: “We are absolutely delighted that Bupa are able to help us out. Not only are they providing their time, but are also covering the cost of the re-decoration. We are very grateful for all their assistance.”
This project is organised as part of the Bupa Community Connections programme. Bupa Community Connections has been set up to recognise, assist and support all the good work already being done by Bupa in their local communities and to encourage more people to get involved.
