Bupa Hospitals appoints new director of clinical services

Bupa Hospitals has appointed Jean-Jacques De Gorter, as its new director of clinical services.
Jean-Jacques, known as JJ, was previously medical director of NHS Direct in the South East for the last three years. He will assume responsibility for driving Bupa Hospital’s clinical strategy.
JJ, who trained at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London and has an MBA from Cranfield, has also worked in Australia and New Zealand as well as the South East of England. He has replaced Chris Dark at Bupa and will be responsible for managing clinical governance.
“This is a great opportunity to join Bupa Hospitals at a time when the business is transforming the way it manages and operates its hospitals to meet the future demands of a rapidly changing healthcare marketplace,” JJ said.
“I want to drive improvements in quality by encouraging innovation and new more efficient ways of working. Key to this will be working in partnership with clinical networks and professional bodies,” he added.
