Bupa IP’s new online quote system cuts process time for IFAs

Bupa Individual Protection’s new instant online quote and application system for critical illness and life cover products launched to IFAs this week, is set to shave days off their processing time.
A panel of IFAs has been working closely with Bupa Individual Protection over the past 12 months to ensure the online system was specifically developed to enable IFAs to process business more efficiently and meet their client needs. And the new system has already been praised by brokers involved in the pilot phase.
To mark the launch, Bupa Individual Protection is offering a 15 percent LAUTRO enhancement on all online business submitted this year. This enhancement is in addition to Bupa’s already competitive commission terms.
Key features of the system include:
- the ability to put clients on risk without contacting Bupa Individual Protection
- the choice of a premium or benefit-driven quotation
- the flexibility to complete application sections in order of preference as well as clear reminders if any applicable fields are incomplete
- the automatic population of address fields with the entry of a postcode
- the ability to save a quotation at any time and retrieve it at a later date
- easy access to supporting material which is available in the online library and includes product literature, key features and lifestyle questionnaires
- a faster process that will generate faster commission payments
- the ability to track all pipeline cases
- both money laundering verification and Direct Debit Mandates (DDM) can be submitted online
Alistair Cattanach from QS Mortgage Brokers Ltd, who was involved in the pilot stage, said: “The Bupa Individual Protection online system is highly intuitive and flexible and I believe it will speed up the process, allowing brokers to service their clients far more effectively.”
