Insurance website of the year for Bupa Hong Kong

Health insurance specialists, Bupa Hong Kong, has won a prestigious award for its website - www.bupa.com.hk. The site has been named “Insurance Website of the Year” at the seventh Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2003. The awards are jointly organised by Singapore-based, Asia Insurance Review and the London-based magazine, Review Worldwide Reinsurance. They were presented at a ceremony in Singapore on 6 October, 2003.
Receiving the award Dr Damien Marmion, managing director, Bupa Health Insurance said: “The award is for the best website in Asia and it is a fantastic achievement that a Hong Kong based company has won it.
“The Insurance Website of the Year award shows the creativity and quality of Bupa’s website development and enhances our reputation for providing health services information. Health information is important especially with the outbreak of diseases such as SARS and this site made the information available to all in a user friendly and understandable way.
“The Bupa website is an important part of the service we provide to the people of Hong Kong and to our customers, providing professional health information and maintaining high standards of reliability, service and provision of information.”
The websites were evaluated on a broad range of criteria, including user-friendly design, strong architecture, high quality content and a clear and consistent message about the company.
Since its launch in 2000, the Bupa Hong Kong website has attracted more than 1.5 million visitors and peaked during the SARS epidemic in May, showing a keen responsiveness to growing demand and need for health services information.
