Bupa International expands 'Membersworld'

Bupa International's web-site 'Membersworld' has been expanded and now offers an even better service for individual members, companies and a number of corporate clients.
Bupa International was the first international healthcare insurer to develop this kind of on-line member service. First launched in January 2001, the fully secure internet environment of 'Membersworld' allows Bupa International members unprecedented real-time information about their Bupa International service, global advice and health information specific to their needs.
As the web-site has been so well received by members, additional features have now been added offering members even more benefits and increased on-line capability. There are now six areas to the web-site:
- My health - provides information on commonly used medicinal drugs alongside health and fitness news. The interactive element includes health quizzes and fitness appraisals.
- My policy - simplifies personal administration and allows members to amend personal details, such as their address, online.
- My claims - this popular section allowing members to track the progress of their claims, now includes a function to enable pre-authorisation of claims before treatment.
- My services - features special offers to members from third party companies, such as Hertz cars and Meridian Hotels.
- My profile - now allows members to change their user name, password and e-mail address.
- My home - an online capability allowing members to recommend a friend to join and thereby receive vouchers from amazon.com, M&S and Expat Essentials once the friend enrols.
Since Bupa International members are based across the globe in 190 countries, and a multitude of time zones, the 'Membersworld' web-site allows them access to up to date information wherever they are and whenever they want.

The web-site is a popular resource amongst our members and the new additions serve to make the web-site even more useful while keeping it fresh and interesting for regular visitors."
Existing services offered on 'Membersworld' include: health insurance claims on-line, information about local embassies, hospital networks, as well as the Bupa International member's handbook, on-line claims forms, full access to membership details and a wealth of information on everything from political climate to vaccinations, currency, visas and leisure activities.
