Bupa named as UK superbrand for second consecutive year

Bupa has been voted as one of Britain’s strongest brands by the UK’s leading figures in branding and marketing. Bupa joins other iconic brands such as Coca-Cola, Gilette, Virgin and Schweppes, all voted for by the independent and voluntary Superbrands council.
“We are delighted to have been selected as a superbrand for the second year running. Bupa has always invested in building its brand. Our business focus is on quality, clinical excellence and customer care that delivers on the promise of a brand that is trusted, highly respected and has become synonymous with health and care,” says Simon Sheard, Bupa’s group marketing director.

Founded in 1947, Bupa pioneered the concept of private medical insurance in the UK and remains the pre-eminent brand in a highly competitive sector today. Bupa has also extended its brand to establish strong and successful operations in a number of health and care markets in the UK and overseas, including insurance, occupational health, care for older people, nurseries and hospitals.
