19 June 2009 Bupa Individual Protection wins five-star award for its online servicesIntermediaries have given Bupa Individual Protection a 5-star rating at the 2009 FTAdviser.com Online Service Awards. Bupa won a coveted Life and Pension award for the overall functionality and design of its website which provides intermediaries with online tools and product information and makes transactions and administration simpler, quicker, more convenient and flexible. Bupa Individual Protection – which offers critical illness cover, income protection and life cover - saw a 38 percent increase in annual new business premiums during 2008, building on the 25 percent growth achieved the year before. Largely due to the quality of its online services. After collecting the award, Steve Payne, director of Bupa Individual Protection said: “We are delighted to be recognised by intermediaries as having a compelling online service which meets their needs. Our aim has always been to make our award-winning products as accessible and effective as possible for both intermediaries and their clients. Bupa was the first critical illness provider to introduce premium reductions for excluded conditions on cancer and multiple sclerosis because it believed that it was unfair for customers to pay for cover they could not claim for. It has recently extended this concept to include cardiovascular and diabetic conditions which means that customers could benefit from a premium reduction of up to 45 percent. - Ends - Notes to Editors: About Bupa: |
