Questions about choosing Bupa health cash plan schemes

What' the difference between a Bupa health cash plan and a private medical insurance scheme? Hide

Bupa Cash Plan, Cash Plan 100 and Bupa Additional Health pay cash back to help with everyday health care costs such as optical or dental costs. Private medical insurance pays for, or towards the cost of, eligible private medical treatment, ranging from basic medical cover for eligible in-patient and surgical treatment to more extensive cover.

We already offer Bupa private medical insurance to our employees. Is it worth offering a Bupa cash plan as well? Hide

Yes. Bupa health cash plans offer cash back towards a variety of everyday health care costs that might not be covered under traditional private medical insurance schemes.

If you’re looking for ways to complement an existing employee private medical insurance scheme, Bupa Additional Health could be just what you’re looking for. Call 0500 000 125 and quote 3303 to find out more.

How does an employer benefit from a Bupa health cash plan? Hide

Providing a Bupa health cash plan could be a way of increasing the value of your employees' salary and benefits package. Offering the scheme as an employee benefit may also increase loyalty and help to reduce sickness and absence levels, if employees are covered for everyday health care costs.

Will the subscriptions increase as employees get older or make a claim? Hide

No, the amount you or the employee pays won't increase as a result of age or claims history. Sometimes it may be necessary for subscriptions to increase generally from time to time. Bupa Cash Plan will notify the company before any change to the subscription rates takes place.
