What is Bupa Positive Health? What is Bupa Positive Health?

To help get your workforce into good physical and mental shape, Bupa Positive Health focuses on four key areas that impact on employee performance:

Nutrition
Eating healthily doesn’t only help reduce the risk of cancer, prevent obesity and protect against heart disease, it can improve mood and energy levels, too.

Fitness
Keeping active is a good way to get in shape and improve long-term health. It can boost the immune system, improve mood and give your energy levels a boost.

Sleep
Lack of sleep can have negative effects on health and concentration levels. A good night’s sleep can make you feel more alert and ready to cope with the day ahead.

Stress
Not all stress is bad but it affects virtually everyone at some time. If unchecked, it can lead to problems such as headaches, stomach upsets, mood changes and psychological issues.

Four simple steps to better health

  1. On entering the Bupa Positive Health site, employees can register their details and set up a password protected log-in
  2. Your employees can browse the site for health news and topics, all of which are regularly updated, or check their body mass index. They can also take health assessments to address issues such as nutrition, fitness, sleep, stress, back pain and joint health
  3. Assessment results are available straightaway and suggest areas of improvement for employees to work on
  4. Employees set themselves goals and re-take the assessments at a later date to measure their progress

Results

Every user's results will differ, based on their individual profile and responses. The results offer practical guidance, personal information and advice from health professionals. All of these factors empower employees to take small steps towards positive improvements.

Assessments can be re-taken and employees can monitor their results over time.
