Our trauma response model is designed to support organisations and their employees and ensure business continuity.
Bupa Trauma Services provide a trauma response model that includes:
Using the latest best practice models of trauma response and recovery, including Trauma Risk Management which was designed by The Royal Marines, we are able to offer an end-to-end solution, from pre-incident preparation and training, to immediate post-incident support, advice and consultancy, on-site support and trauma therapies.
We can provide a fully comprehensive trauma response model or each of the individual components.
Looking after your staff following traumatic incidents is both morally justified and, after work-related incidents, legally necessary. It also makes economic sense to avoid loss of valuable staff to the effects of psychological trauma.

This course is designed to help employees at risk of being exposed to psychological trauma and those that support them. The training enables participants to:
This is a very hands-on practical based course that uses past experiences, role-plays and real-life examples as learning tools. While the course also covers the theory, signs and symptoms that may be expected, and the reason behind certain reactions, it’s primary purpose is to focus on what they can actually do themselves in the event of a trauma to ensure that employees are looked after and are able to return to work and concentrate on their jobs as soon as possible.
Bupa can provide telephone support 24 hours a day and send specially trained trauma management specialists on-site between 48 and 72 hours after an incident to assist in the management of the event and to conduct risk assessments.
Employees can call confidentially anytime of the day or night to speak to a specialist trauma counsellor to discuss any issues they may be having which are related to the event, such as flashbacks, difficulty sleeping, or any other symptoms.
Face-to-face counselling can be arranged for employees who may need further assistance.
