Bupa Patient Cash

Bupa Patient Cash offers cash towards a variety of health care needs designed to give your employees access to faster diagnosis and treatment.

This plan has been designed as an affordable alternative to health insurance. When your employee has a private consultation, treatment or even a hospital stay, they could claim some of the cost back from us.

And that means your employees not only have access to faster diagnosis and treatment, they're also in a better position to make the right decisions about their health. The scheme also offers money back on treatment such as physiotherapy and osteopathy.

It's so simple

It’s really simple to claim. For example, to claim money for in-hospital treatment:

  • Your employee attend the hospital for treatment
  • They bring along their completed claim form
  • They ask the hospital to stamp the form confirming the reason and length of stay
  • Submit the claim form to Bupa Cash Plan
  • We will send your employee money back either via a personal cheque or straight into their bank account, up to their plan’s benefit limit.

Here's how it works

Bupa patient cash

Tom went to see a consultant about his bad knee and paid £200. Since he chose Bupa Patient Cash level 3, he can claim back a maximum of £600 that year. Meaning that once he has claimed back the full £200 for his knee, this will leave him with £400 to use for the rest of that benefit year.
