What it involves
Heart scan – Computed Tomography (CT) scan of your heart to look for calcium in your coronary arteries, which may indicate coronary artery disease.
Blood pressure and pulse rate measurement – over a long period of time, higher than normal blood pressure can be associated with risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney failure.
Resting electrocardiogram (ECG) – measurement of the ‘electrical signature’ of each heart beat to help identify coronary artery disease, an enlarged heart and arrhythmia (an irregular heartbeat).
Coronary risk score – indicates the chance of you having a heart attack within the next 10 years.
Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation – calculates a ratio of your height to weight to see if you are a healthy weight.
Cholesterol profile – measurement of different types of blood fat including cholesterol (HDL and LDL) and triglycerides.
Glucose check – raised glucose levels could be a sign of diabetes.

Breast cancer is the UK’s most common cancer, especially among women over 40. The Breast Health Check includes a detailed breast examination and mammogram for women over the age of 40.
Suitable for: women aged over 40

What it involves
Mammography – an X-ray of the breasts, which is the most effective means of detecting and investigating breast disease.
We recommend women aged 40 to 50 have mammograms on an annual basis, and those over 50 have mammograms every other year.
