Located in the Cannon Hill Park area of Birmingham, Amberley Court is a purpose-built care home, expertly designed to make our residents feel at home while providing a safe and secure living environment.
We specialise in care for the young physically disabled. Our approach focuses on the, person, not the condition. All our residents have an important life story which we're committed to learning. We create a Map of Life for each resident which details their experiences, preferences and needs.
Our 24-hour care and person-centred approach emphasises respect, dignity and quality of life.
We offer 24-hour personal support to those with a condition that requires frequent specialised, qualified nursing care.
Round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment for up to six weeks. Perfect for carers who are ill, on holiday or just need a break.
Care for those recovering from surgery or illness, through a combination of rest appropriate exercise and balanced diet.
We provide respectful pro-active care for residents and relatives in their last days of life. We ensure that their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are considered and met.
We have specialist facilities, equipment and highly skilled staff that care for a wide range of disabilities and needs.
We're always striving to improve our treatments and services so feedback from residents and relatives is very important to us. The results of this help us provide the best care possible.
We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This helps us to identify how we can deliver person-centred care for the people living in Bupa homes.
We understand the distinct special needs of young people living with physical disabilities and provide plenty of carefully planned mental, physical and social stimulation - encouraging mobility and independence.
We have a variety of activities and events for our residents to take part in at Amberley Court Care Home. Our care home has been carefully designed to encourage daily activities within a safe environment. We believe this is a vital part of building a happy community. We have cyber-cafes where residents can go online and socialise with one another. We also organise regular trips to the cinema, bowling, canal trips and visits to the local pub. We also have a bar area with a pool table, dart board, juke box and fruit machine.
Our dedicated co-ordinator ensures that daily activities take account of individual interests and levels of ability. Board games, computer classes and audio books are very popular - as are the visits from local entertainers.
We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first.
Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.
This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.Ask us a question
