A purpose-built home in a quiet spot on the edge of Hull
We provide care tailored to individuals’ needs, whether that’s using photographs on signs to help residents with dementia, or simply knowing how everyone likes their tea.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
We’ve lots of places to relax including our on-site hair salon, dedicated activities room, and bright and airy conservatory. Our inviting lounges are perfect for relaxing with a book or catching up with family and friends.
Pretty enclosed garden with a sunny patio
We have a private, enclosed, landscaped garden, with plenty of seating and perfect spaces for residents to do activities.
Always room for family and friends
Family and friends are welcome to pop in at any time. We also have several dining areas where families can host private events such as birthday parties. Catering is available for an additional fee.
There’s no typical day at Berkeley House, we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Enjoyable activities for everyone
We organise a range of activities such as arts and crafts, tea dances, movie nights, and visiting entertainers.
Gentle therapies that don’t feel like therapy
Lola the pet therapy dog, and Daisy and Buttercup the ponies are always visiting the home for residents to spend time with.
Part of the local community
We encourage visits from local school children who join in with bingo and take trips out to the local pub for lunch.
My father is very settled in Berkeley House. The staff are very patient and caring with him. We appreciate how kind the staff were when my mother passed away, to my father and all the family. The home is clean, warm and comfortable. We find everyone very professional.

The staff are all wonderful and have helped to make Mum's transition into care as comfortable as possible. They are all very friendly, caring, and dedicated and seem to really enjoy working there. They also make me feel comfortable and welcome when visiting. Mum has settled in very well and despite her confusion, she enjoys living there. She also joins in with many of the fun activities which are organised, and photos and videos are often posted to social media for relatives to see.

The transition of care from Dad's own home to a care home has been and still is a very emotional journey. Everyone working in the care home has been so kind and understanding to Dad and our family. The care home appears very well managed and has a good/relaxed atmosphere. Staff are professional, committed, kind, caring, inclusive and communicate well. This is so reassuring. The food provided is excellent. The environment/rooms are spacious, clean and modern.
