A purpose-built home, Canning Court has been designed to offer specialist dementia care, as well as respite and nursing care. Located in a peaceful, residential area of Stratford-upon-Avon, the home has secure landscaped gardens and is equipped with the most up-to-date facilities.
As part of its specialist dementia care service, Canning Court takes every opportunity to provide memory triggers, which include reminiscence activity areas and memory boxes. A beautiful sensory garden boasting many scented and colourful plants enables all residents to stimulate their senses, or simply sit and relax in the open air.
Round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment for up to six weeks. Perfect for carers who are ill, on holiday or just need a break.
24-hour care and assistance provided for those living with dementia, with a lifestyle profile created to make them feel safe and comfortable.
In addition to person centred care, we provide nursing staff to support residents who require qualified nursing care.
We're always striving to improve our treatments and services so feedback from residents and relatives is very important to us. The results of this help us provide the best care possible.
We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This helps us to identify how we can deliver person-centred care for the people living in Bupa homes.
We offer a daily programme of varied activities designed to enhance residents’ sense of wellbeing and stimulate their minds and bodies.
As well as activities such as quizzes and flower arranging, we have visiting entertainers and a hairdresser who comes once a week. Our dedicated activities co-ordinator arranges regular outings, maybe into town for afternoon tea or to a local place of interest.
Once a month we hold a seasonally-themed event, a summer garden party for example. Friends and relatives are welcome to join in activities, both at Canning Court or out and about.
Our experienced chef creates a menu of balanced, nutritious meals, and ensures that our residents’ dietary preferences and special requirements are taken into account. All meals are prepared daily using fresh ingredients.
We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first.
Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.
This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.Ask us a question
We encourage residents to bring possessions such as ornaments and small pieces of furniture to help create a homely environment. If arranged in advance, we are also happy to accommodate small pets.
Call now to book a visit and meet our care home manager, who can answer any questions you may have.
There’s a lot to figure out when it comes to funding. Pop in for a visit and we will be happy to talk it over.
