Colton Lodges are four purpose-built single storey houses situated in the historic coal mining town of Colton in Leeds. The layout and relaxed, homely atmosphere encourages our residents to enjoy Colton Lodges in their own way, whether it’s entertaining visitors or watching their favourite television programmes in one of the welcoming lounges.
This comfortable home is surrounded by secure, landscaped gardens with raised flowerbeds, hanging baskets, a tranquil sensory garden and herb garden. There's also a delightful patio area and a gazebo where our residents can relax and entertain guests.
In addition to person centred care, we provide nursing staff to support residents who require qualified nursing care.
Provides accommodation, meals and personal care for those who find it increasingly difficult to cope at home without assistance.
Round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment for up to six weeks. Perfect for carers who are ill, on holiday or just need a break.
Care for those recovering from surgery or illness, through a combination of rest appropriate exercise and balanced diet.
We provide respectful pro-active care for residents and relatives in their last days of life. We ensure that their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are considered and met.
We offer 24-hour personal support to those with a condition that requires frequent specialised, qualified nursing care.
We're always striving to improve our treatments and services so feedback from residents and relatives is very important to us. The results of this help us provide the best care possible.
We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This helps us to identify how we can deliver person-centred care for the people living in Bupa homes.
We aim to make sure there's something for our residents to enjoy every day. Popular and stimulating activities are a vital part of the care we provide.
At Colton Lodges we like to keep our residents’ minds active and improve their appetite by planning something interesting every day.
There’s plenty for everyone to enjoy, including music and movement, quizzes, bingo, darts and bowls. Our reading and painting clubs are very popular and for the green-fingered there's gentle gardening in the luscious grounds. There are also plenty of charity and community events to take part in and regular shopping trips to Leeds.
We enjoy regular performances from local entertainers and our local church holds a monthly service. Friends and relatives are always welcome to come along and join in.
We pride ourselves on providing well-balanced and delicious meals throughout the day. Our experienced chefs know the importance of dietary requirements, likes and dislikes and use only the freshest ingredients to create a varied and nutritious menu.
We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first.
Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.
This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.Ask us a question
