Elstree Lawns is a stunning care home that started out its life as a private residence but has since been converted into the majestic, specialist nursing home that it now is. Just three miles from Borehamwood, there are also good public transport links to take you into the heart of London.
The home offers a wide range of nursing care options including care for older people with dementia-related illnesses and those with Parkinson's. We also provide palliative, convalescence and respite care. All the highly trained nurses and carers provide professional 24-hour care and support.

We're always striving to improve our treatments and services so feedback from residents and relatives is very important to us. The results of this help us provide the best care possible.
We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This helps us to identify how we can deliver person-centred care for the people living in Bupa homes.
Whatever you like to do in your spare time, there's a variety of interesting activities and events to take part in at Elstree Lawns.
Thanks to our dedicated activity co-ordinator, there's many enjoyable activities for our residents to do at the home. Whether it's an arts and crafts session, a spot of gentle gardening or even a massage, we make sure that there's a stimulating programme of daily activities every day of the week. We make sure that every resident is consulted when they arrive at the home to find out their interests.
We have frequent visits from a selection of local entertainers, as well as a mobile hairdresser for a spot of pampering in the on-site salon, which always proves popular with our residents.
We always make sure that our residents' dietary requirements are taken into consideration when our chef's team is planning their menus, making sure that every meal is nutritious and tasty.
There are always plenty of options available including cold alternatives to cooked meals and lighter options and snacks. Afternoon tea is something that residents and guests look forward to, as there is always a delicious home-made cake on offer.
We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first.
Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.
This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.Ask us a question
We want our residents to feel welcome and relaxed as soon as they walk through the door of their bedroom at the home, so to help with that we have made sure that all 54 of the rooms are decorated to a high standard. We also encourage people to bring with them any personal items such as photos, ornaments or small pieces of furniture to make their rooms more homely.
Call now to book a visit and meet our care home manager, who can answer any questions you may have.
There’s a lot to figure out when it comes to funding. Pop in for a visit and we will be happy to talk it over.
