Set within nine acres of stunning landscaped gardens, Hatfield Peverel Lodge in Chelmsford is an extended former private house that has been converted to ensure that our residents get the finest care in an elegant, yet also tastefully modern environment.
The care home is separated into two houses, and each one is designed to offer a different level of care. The first, Kingfisher House, provides care for our frail elderly residents, while Mallard House
, is set up to deliver first-rate dementia care. The entire home has been completely refurbished recently, including a full redecoration and brand-new furnishings.
We offer 24-hour personal support to those with a condition that requires frequent specialised, qualified nursing care.
Provides accommodation, meals and personal care for those who find it increasingly difficult to cope at home without assistance.
Round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment for up to six weeks. Perfect for carers who are ill, on holiday or just need a break.
Care for those recovering from surgery or illness, through a combination of rest appropriate exercise and balanced diet.
We provide respectful pro-active care for residents and relatives in their last days of life. We ensure that their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are considered and met.
24-hour care and assistance provided for those living with dementia, with a lifestyle profile created to make them feel safe and comfortable.
We're always striving to improve our treatments and services so feedback from residents and relatives is very important to us. The results of this help us provide the best care possible.
We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This helps us to identify how we can deliver person-centred care for the people living in Bupa homes.
With a wide range of activities available every day of the week, our residents are often spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do at Hatfield Peverel Lodge.
Our residents at Hatfield Peverel Lodge have freedom to continue with an existing hobby in the home, start a new one or take part in the wide range of activities going on both in the home itself or out in the wider community.
Our experienced and enthusiastic activity organiser takes the time to meet up with all of our residents to work out what they'd like to get involved in, and will make recommendations based on their tastes and mobility.
From quizzes, pampering sessions and musical afternoons in the home, to regular trips out to the garden centre, theatre or shopping, we try to find something for everyone.
We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first.
Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.
This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.Ask us a question
There are a total of 68 rooms across both our houses. Kingfisher House can accommodate up to 40 residents in single rooms, while there's space for another 28 in Mallard House – and two of those rooms are large enough to offer double occupancy.
Ensuite bathrooms are available in some of the rooms, and all 68 come with aerial points for televisions, telephone points and a 24-hour call system for added peace of mind.
Call now to book a visit and meet our care home manager, who can answer any questions you may have.
There’s a lot to figure out when it comes to funding. Pop in for a visit and we will be happy to talk it over.
