Welcome to Nairn House Care Centre in Enfield

Our home is situated near Forty Hill, a pleasant residential area of Enfield, within walking distance of shops and on a local bus route. Upon arrival you'll find we are surrounded by delightful grounds with a greenhouse and serene patio area where our residents love to relax and entertain guests.

We want residents to feel at home with us, however long or short their stay. We have created a warm, welcoming atmosphere where our care team take time to get to know each person staying with us. The support and assistance we offer is tailored to suit each person's needs. Our focus is on residents' happiness and quality of life.

Care types

  • Care for those recovering from surgery or illness, through a combination of rest appropriate exercise and balanced diet.

  • We offer 24-hour personal support to those with a condition that requires frequent specialised, qualified nursing care.

  • We provide respectful pro-active care for residents and relatives in their last days of life. We ensure that their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are considered and met.

  • Provides accommodation, meals and personal care for those who find it increasingly difficult to cope at home without assistance.

  • Round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment for up to six weeks. Perfect for carers who are ill, on holiday or just need a break.

We aim to find something fun and engaging for our residents to do every day. A varied and inclusive activity programme is a vital part of the care we provide.


Our activities

Our activities are designed to cover all interests and levels of ability. Our dedicated activity co-ordinator chats with residents to find out about their hobbies and pastimes and suggests some group activities they might like to try.

Quizzes, bingo and music sessions are all great ways for residents to get to know each other. Plus these lively pastimes help give structure to the day as well as improving appetites and sleeping patterns.

Outside the home there are days out to the seaside and local places of interest. Friends and family are welcome to join in at any time or accompany their loved ones on our regular day trips.

How do I arrange a visit?

We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first.

Can I bring my own furniture?

Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.

How soon can I move in?

This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.
