Life at Oakcroft House
An inclusive and varied activity programme is a vital part of the care we provide and our dedicated activity co-ordinator aims to find something engaging for residents to do every day.
We make sure that all our residents have something to occupy their time, regardless of their interests and level of mobility. We have a vegetable plot in the garden that our more green-fingered residents help to look after, as well as music therapy and bird watching. Crossword mornings are great for keeping the mind active. All our activities are designed to encourage residents to get to know one another, as well as improving sleeping patterns and appetites.
There are also excursions to the cinema and the theatre, to concerts at Guildford Cathedral, out into the Surrey countryside and to the Royal Horticultural Society gardens at Wisley. Friends and family are welcome to accompany their loved ones whenever they wish.

How do I arrange a visit?
We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first.
Can I bring my own furniture?
Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.
How soon can I move in?
This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.Ask us a question
