Life at The Elms
Engaging activities are a vital part of the care we provide. We try to make sure our residents have something fun to try every day.
Group activities are a great way for residents to get to know one another, while at the same time improving general humour, appetites and sleep patterns.
We have activities to suit all tastes and abilities – from the baking club, light gardening, arts and crafts to musical afternoons. There are also visits from friendly cats and dogs, which are always very popular with residents.
There are regular volunteering and charity events that we invite friends, family and members of the local community who might be living alone to join in with.

How do I arrange a visit?
We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first.
Can I bring my own furniture?
Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.
How soon can I move in?
This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.Ask us a question
