Get the most from being a Bupa member
The Bupa Health Finder, the free app for UK members, gives you access to our extensive database of almost 600 health information topics. It also stores your membership details, and makes claiming easier.
The Bupa app allows you to:
- search for your nearest Bupa-approved hospitals and specialists wherever you are in the UK
- search by location as well as specialty and name
- locate your nearest Bupa centre where, as a member, you will receive specially discounted rates on health assessments

You can find the Bupa Health Finder app in the App Store for iPhone, on Google Play for Android and in Blackberry's App World. The app is free to download.
How to use the app
Launch the app by entering your membership number and your personal customer call centre telephone number. You’ll then get access to:
- step-by-step claims process
- store your pre-authorisation numbers
- get directions to consultants/hospitals
- search for a Bupa-approved consultant, physiotherapist or mental health therapist by speciality, postcode or name
- bookmark specialists and facilities

If you forget your PIN number, you can enter it incorrectly 10 times. This will reset the app and delete all stored information.
You set your PIN code when you enter the app for the first time. You can change this by logging into the app and going to your profile.

Is my data saved or do I need to start again?The information you have saved in the Health Finder app is PIN protected, and after 10 failed attempts at logging in, all stored information will be wiped.
Whenever you synchronise your phone with your computer, any information you have entered will automatically be backed up. This means that if you replace your phone, you can connect it with your computer to replace any information up until your last synchronisation.
Due to the personal nature of your information it is only stored locally on your phone. As a result, we cannot replace information that has not been synchronised with your computer.

This is because the information is stored on the internet, which makes it easier to update when things change. So you don’t have to keep downloading new versions of the app, these sections just pick up the new information from the internet whenever they are accessed.

The Health Finder app is free to download and can be used by anyone. The information on the claiming process may not be applicable to you, but you can still access information on health topics and conditions. You can also use our specialist and facilities finders.

Our Customer Service team will be able to inform you of the options available to you.
