Managing Director, Home Healthcare

Stephen Flanagan

Steve joined Bupa Home Healthcare in December 2008. He has been a member of Bupa's UK health insurance executive team for the past 10 years, most recently as Commercial Director.

His previous roles include senior positions at British Airways and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Sales and Service Delivery Director

Margaret McNab

Margaret joined Bupa Home Healthcare in May 2010 as Commercial Director, having previously worked as Operations Director for a Rehabilitation Business and Hospital Director with both Spire Healthcare and Bupa Hospitals.

Her previous experience includes General Management, Commercial and Customer Service roles for BAA (at Gatwick, Stansted and Heathrow) and Bristol International Airports.

Finance Director

Melvin Pointer

Melvin has joined Bupa Home Healthcare and takes on responsibility for all of the financial aspects of the company.

Melvin’s career has been focused on financial management and corporate finance. Prior to joining Bupa Home Healthcare, Melvin was the Chief Financial Officer of Goldman Sachs EMEA Services division, where he was responsible for business model transformation across a range of corporate services

Melvin is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants and a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
 

Medical Director

Mehmood Syed

Mehmood is a practising GP and joined the team in November 2010, having previously worked in a senior medical management position with the NHS Hammersmith & Fulham. He is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, an MBA alumnus of Imperial College and co-author of a textbook of differential diagnosis in primary care.

At Bupa Home Healthcare, Mehmood is leading on clinical governance and quality improvement and provides clinical oversight to marketing and business development activities.
 

Head of Human Resources

Fay Small

Fay joined Bupa Home Healthcare in July 2007, having previously worked for Bupa in a variety of HR roles ranging from learning and development manager through to HR lead on resourcing within Bupa UK Health and Wellbeing.
