Bupa Home Healthcare is pleased to announce that we have been selected by Abbott Laboratories as one of their preferred homecare service providers for Humira (Adalimumab).

Bupa currently serves over 16,000 NHS patients. Being part of the Bupa Group means that we have access to a wealth of medical expertise whilst retaining our local connections with regional offices across the UK.

THE BENEFITS OF USING OUR SERVICE

All of our staff are employees of Bupa, meaning consistency and reliability of service

You will work with a dedicated patient coordinator and a team dealing directly with your patients that promotes excellent communication

All patients are registered within 5 working days, providing a timely and efficient service

Quarterly service reviews carried out between our field based staff and individual NHS units to ensure a smooth service

All deliveries are made in unmarked white vans to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained

All our drivers are CRB checked and carry ID badges for patient security

Drivers are trained in the therapy areas of the drugs they are delivering in order to identify any potential issues that could be affecting the patient’s compliance

All our nurses are highly experienced and RGN registered which means peace of mind for you and your patients

THE HUMIRA SERVICE

Patients prescribed Humira can benefit from a complete homecare service including the delivery of their medication to a location of their choice as well as the Bupa ‘Caring for you programme’.

Delivery service
Our cold chain delivery service for your Humira patients can be made to their home or other chosen location. Deliveries can be made on 4, 8 or 12 weekly cycles to suit the requirements of both the patient and the hospital.

Caring for you programme
Our nurses will train your patients to self administer Humira. Each patient receives an initial training session along with a follow up visit to confirm their competency in self administration and to help them prepare for their next clinic visit.

WHO PAYS FOR THE SERVICE?

Abbott Laboratories pays Bupa Home Healthcare to provide both the delivery service and the ‘Caring for you’ programme. The Humira drug costs must be met by the NHS funding authority, who has agreed to fund individual patient’s use of this drug.
