Our experience

Bupa Home Healthcare is Britain's most experienced and longest established provider of quality HPN care, having supplied HPN to our first patient in 1986. HPN is a demanding and complex treatment, requiring the highest standards of care and experience.

Most patients prefer to be treated in the comfort, convenience and privacy of their home. Through the range of treatments, nursing expertise and efficient delivery services that we provide, patients requiring HPN enjoy a better quality of life from home healthcare.

The service

  • We work with the referring unit to co-ordinate the patient referral and discharge planning process.
  • We have an experienced pharmacy team along with an extensive stability database, which enables us to provide formulation advice and develop stable formulations for home use.
  • Our experienced HPN nurses train patients, carers and healthcare professionals to the agreed hospital protocols, and if required can provide ongoing regular nursing support.
  • We undertake nurse-led home assessments and installation visits.
  • All necessary medication and equipment is delivered to the patients home.
  • Each patient and customer is assigned a dedicated patient services co-ordinator who are pivotal in managing ongoing deliveries and ensuring quality of service.
  • We run an out of hours advice line and holiday service
