Bupa Health Dialog was formed by the merger of Bupa Commissioning and Health Dialog.

Bupa Health Dialog was formed by the merger of:

  • Bupa Commissioning: Bupa’s subsidiary which provided services to the NHS and whose association with NHS commissioning began in 2007 when we responded to the Department of Health’s introduction of the Framework for External Support for Commissioning (FESC).
  • Health Dialog: Founded in the United States in 1997, in collaboration with the not-for-profit Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making (FIMDM), to address the issue of unwarranted variation in healthcare. Health Dialog entered the European market in 2005 introducing analytics tailored to fit within the context of each nation’s healthcare system.

The combination of sophisticated health analytics and commissioning expertise has created a new organisation which delivers a powerful set of NHS targeted tools that support commissioning. These include innovative analytics and state of the art risk stratification models to drive Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention initiatives that make the most efficient use of resources.
