Bupa health insurance members have fast and convenient access to mental health support and treatment through our telephone assessment service usually without the need for a GP referral†. (For corporate members, this service is available on an opt-in basis at renewal from the 31 January 2016).
If you are experiencing stress, anxiety or have any concerns about your mental health, sharing a problem in confidence can help you put things into perspective and improve how you are feeling.
Call your usual Member Services helpline^. Our Mental Health Support Team will schedule an appointment at your convenience with one of our counsellors who will listen and guide you to the most appropriate support from the full range of options available to you.
^ Lines are open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 4pm. We may record or monitor our calls.
Direct access telephone services are available as long as the symptoms are covered under the policy. Pre-existing and chronic conditions are normally excluded. Direct access services may not be available for some underwriting methods
