Bupa’s Admiral Reach residential and nursing home opens its doors for its annual summer fete which aims to raise money for the home.
The carnival themed summer fete will have both residents and staff dressed in carnival clothing and getting into the carnival spirit. With a wide variety of things on offer including, a bouncy castle, cream teas, book stalls, raffles, tombolas and a treasure hunt there is something for all. There will also be stalls run by MIND and The Alzheimer's Society.
With an invite being sent out to the surrounding community the fete seeks to raise further funding for the upkeep of the home but also showcase the home following a £358,000 refurbishment which finished earlier this year.
The investment means that a large number of facilities have been revamped, including ensuring that every bedroom has been kitted out with new furniture, curtains, fittings, and flat screen TVs. Residents can also join the growing eave of “silver surfers” as they can now go on line with internet access in their own rooms.
Care home manager, Chipema Chitambala is thrilled with the changes and said: “With the home looking as fantastic as it does I know that the residents and employees are looking forward to showing off to the local community.”
