Nurse Alison Ough has been named as manager of Bupa's £5.5million The Springs Nursing and Residential home in Malvern. From October, Alison will run the purpose built nursing home, which will care for 65 residents and is set on an acre of beautiful grounds specially designed for older people and people with dementia.
Bupa Regional Director, Mark Elliott said: "Alison is a very experienced home manager with a passion for working with people with dementia. She boasts an impressive track record in the care sector and will play a vital role in managing this brand new care home developed to provide specialist dementia care."
Alison has been working with older people for over 23 years and has been a care home manager in various homes for the last eight years. Her appointment at The Springs follows a previous two-year position as home manager at Bupa's Court House Nursing Home, which is also in Malvern. She will be leading a team of 80 care staff over the home's three floors.
"I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to manage Bupa's newest care facility and look forward to welcoming new residents to this purpose built home that has been specially designed for people with dementia and will take care of all their individual needs. It is Bupa's priority to continually raise standards of care for older people and The Springs will provide residents with the highest level of care." Said Alison.
