Braid Hills is situated in a leafy suburb of Edinburgh, with views across the Pentland Hills. It is a purpose-built nursing home which offers specialist care in pleasant, newly refurbished surroundings.
Braid Hills offers an extensive range of elderly care including nursing care, convalescence, respite and palliative care. The home can also offer care for those with dementia, the young physically disabled and adults under 65 years with prolonged progressive illnesses.
A wide range of balanced, nutritious meals are prepared daily using only the freshest produce, and a variety of snacks are always available if required. Wine, whisky and sherry is served for special occasions, and specific dietary needs are catered for. Our dining rooms overlooks the pretty gardens and the Pentland Hills. Residents can choose to eat here or in their own bedroom if they prefer.
The dedicated activity co-ordinator at Braid Halls ensures an interesting, and varied programme of daily activities. Some of the most popular activities include gentle gardening and exercise, quizzes and karaoke. Regular excursions are a favourite and include trips for pub lunches, to the theatre and horse riding lessons for younger residents. Recent outings have also included attending the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Royal Highland Show.
