Originally a private residence, Eglantine Villa is set in three and a half acres of beautiful gardens in the village of Horton Kirby, Kent.
The home comprises two separate buildings that provide specialised care and a comfortable and relaxing environment. Eglantine Villa offers a wide range of care from residential, convalescence and respite, to nursing care and palliative care. The home also caters for residents with Parkinson's disease and provides residential dementia care.
Residents can choose to eat in dining rooms overlooking the gardens or in their bedrooms. Our chef prepares balanced and nutritious meals taking into account the individual preferences and requirements of our residents. There is always a variety on offer and residents can opt for a full cooked meal or lighter alternatives as they wish.
As well as our everyday menus, we make sure that on their birthdays each resident receives a birthday meal of their choice and a personalised birthday cake.
We have an on-site activity co-ordinator who makes sure that there's always something enjoyable and stimulating to do, from games and musical movement to arts and crafts. Other popular activities include the annual garden fete or a simple game of bingo. In addition, two hairdressers offer regular appointments in the onsite salon.
On warmer days, we try to arrange local outings to garden centres, the seaside and other attractions. Relatives and guests are always welcome to join us for activities or outings.
We also hold a special event every month that celebrates or is themed around a notable occasion, such as Mother's Day or Bonfire night. We make sure that all residents can take part if they wish, and the events are specially adapted to suit all our residents.
