Situated in a residential area of Stockwell, south London, Havelock Court is a modern home and purpose-built to provide specialist nursing support.
Havelock Court provides care for people from the age of 18 and specialises in Mental health, Alcohol/Drug/HIV related dementia care and nursing. The home can also offer shorter stays for respite. Our standard of care is second to none and we employ registered nurses and highly trained care assistants who pride themselves on excellent service delivery, which is given 24 hours a day.
Residents can choose to eat in the home's dining room or in their own room, if they prefer. Nutritious, varied and seasonal meals are prepared daily by our chef. For every resident, personal preferences and dietary requirements are assessed soon after arrival and regularly reviewed after that. On their birthday, residents can choose their favourite meal and enjoy a homemade birthday cake, by way of celebration.
Residents are given every encouragement to stay active throughout the day and there are a range of enjoyable activities organised by our activity co-ordinator, including arts and crafts, quizzes and reminiscence therapy. A key focus for our younger residents is literacy skills and foundation skills to help rehabilitate and encourage independence.
We enjoy organised visits to local places of interests and special social events arranged every month to celebrate notable dates in the calendar including the tennis championships at nearby Wimbledon, Mother's Day and, of course, Christmas. Some activities are more spontaneous, such as a gentle walk in the garden or catching up with friends.
