Mugdock House Care Home, Bearsden, Glasgow

Mugdock House Care Home is a brand new purpose-built care home located in the town of Bearsden, Glasgow. The home is part of the former St Andrew’s college campus and is in walking distance of the local residential area and high street amenities. The home is conveniently located on main transport links into Glasgow city centre.

Mugdock House Care Home is planned to open in January 2013 and has been designed to provide specialist nursing and dementia care facilities. The home will offer many specialist features to help residents with memory, such as eye-catching pictures, many of which are of the Bearsden areas, reminiscence activity areas, sensory gardens and memory boxes, which residents use for photographs and personal items.
Our care team at Mugdock House will consist of qualified nurses and highly-trained care assistants who are trained and dedicated to provide specialist and personalised 24-hour care. Residents can continue to use their own GP if they wish, and our staff can also arrange other services such as chiropody and physiotherapy if required.

- For those who prefer a more intimate environment or for family use on special occasions private family and dining rooms are provided.
- Family rooms are able to provide overnight accommodation to allow precious time with relatives. For comfort and convenience, this room will be furnished with sofas and a TV and will include an ipod docking station, Wi-fi access and activities to entertain visiting children.

- Open plan kitchens lead to the dining rooms allowing more independent residents and their relatives to prepare their own beverages and snacks.
