Activities, clubs and interests

You know better than anyone how you like to spend your time. So our activities programmes are inspired by you.

Our staff are there to support you – whether you’re pursuing lifelong interests or discovering new ones.

Making the most of care home life

We want life in our homes to be as active and engaging as you want it to be. You’ll find that we never take a ‘one size fits all’ approach to activities.

Clubs, special events and trips out are also tailor-made to you. You can join in when you choose and so can your family and friends.

We’re here to help

From day one, our activity co-ordinators and carers spend time getting to know the things you like to do. They’ll help you keep up with the things you love. And if you fancy trying something new, they’ll help with that too.

Whether you enjoying doing – a chat over coffee, potting in the garden, enjoying a book from the library , listening to music, or just collecting the daily newspaper or helping with the laundry – we’re here to help you do it.

Clubs and groups

If you’re a passionate hobbyist, there’s no need to drop that interest.

A common interest with other residents in your home could inspire you to join a club – or even start one.

Clubs are born by groups of residents who join forces to do something they enjoy together, from knitting to exercise. You can join as many as you like, participating in different ways - whatever suits you.

Stay connected with the important things

The things that have always mattered to you won’t change simply because you’ve moved to a care home.

Your faith may be very important. We can help you attend your place of worship. You can also request visits from a religious or non-denominational minister.

Staying in touch with your career interest may be the thing that motivates you. As could maintaining links with significant people, groups or times in your life.

At Craigbank care home in Glasgow, residents who served in war have found a special way to mark Remembrance Sunday and re-connect with comrades.
