This purpose-built home is centrally located in the Cannon Hill Park area of Birmingham. It is a modern home, specialising in the care of younger residents.
Amberley Court is specifically designed to care for younger people under the age of 65 with physical disabilities. This includes young adults with acquired brain injuries or progressive diseases, such as Huntington’s.
Our professional staff are well-trained to offer the highest standard of specialised care required by our residents.
Mealtimes are an important part of the day at Amberley Court and our chef creates a varied daily menu, with nutritional meals made using fresh ingredients. Food is served in the elegant dining room or in the privacy of residents’ own rooms, if they prefer. We always make sure individual tastes and dietary requirements are catered for.
We also make an event out of mealtimes with frequent special dinners, such as Mexican nights, Valentine's Day dinners and BBQ nights in summer. Friends and relatives are most welcome to come and join residents for meals too if they wish to.
Every resident is encouraged to lead as active a lifestyle as possible. Our dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures that stimulating daily activities take account of individual interests and levels of ability. Board games, computer training, and audio books are popular, as are the regular visiting entertainers. Outings take place up to three times a week and may include shopping, bowling or canal trips. We also go for pub lunches, visits to the Botanical Gardens or to the West Midlands Safari Park.
