Mornington Hall is bright, modern and purpose-built for elderly residents, situated in the residential area of Manor Park in Newham in east London. As part of Bupa's ongoing commitment to its care homes, Mornington Hall has recently completed a substantial refurbishment programme.
The care we offer
At Mornington Hall there are four 'houses' each offering a specific type of care.
Care can be offered for long or short-term depending on individual needs and can include respite, convalescence and palliative care.
Our chef at Mornington Hall ensures that at mealtimes our residents are offered a tasty, seasonal menu, with a hot and cold choice available. Delicious homemade cakes are served with afternoon tea, and there is a Night Bite menu available between the hours of 6.30pm and 6.30am if needed by residents.
We also like to celebrate residents' birthdays. On their special day they receive a birthday meal of their choice and a personalised birthday cake. We aim to fully understand new residents' nutritional needs, tastes, special diets and preferences shortly after their arrival with us at Mornington Hall.
Residents at Mornington Hall are encouraged to get involved in a range of activities arranged by our activity co-ordinator. These are always tailored to the different capabilities and interests of residents, so everyone gets to enjoy something that they enjoy. Mornington Hall hosts several popular residents’ clubs including a painting and cinema club.
Other regular home-based activities include cake decorating, arts and crafts and reminiscence therapy. We also have a visiting mobile library, and local entertainers perform regularly. We also organise excursions to local places of interest, for pub lunches, shopping, bingo and the theatre, or just for walks in the local area.
