Bupa Liver Health
Alcohol consumption can increase your risk of liver disease but did you know that being overweight can, too? This health check offers a painless state-of-the-art liver scan that can detect early signs of disease even before symptoms occur.
In the early stages, liver problems can be hard to detect, but if caught early enough, they can be successfully treated. We use a scan to check for signs of fibrosis and cirrhosis which can result from lifestyle issues, metabolic syndrome and excessive alcohol intake. After your scan, you’ll receive a half-hour consultation with a Bupa doctor who’ll explain your results and provide diet, health and lifestyle advice to help you make positive changes.
The Bupa Liver Health check includes the following tests:
- blood biochemistry profile
- blood haematology profile
- FibroScan™ of the liver
