Why Health Assessments?

With a Bupa Health Assessment, you can get a clear and detailed picture of your physical condition as well as expert advice on the lifestyle changes you should make now to maintain good health in the future.

While each of our six assessments caters for different needs, all work on the principle that early detection of illness can mean easier and more successful treatment. Starting at £149 there’s no better time to take control of your health.

What’s more, our health assessments can be personalised with a supplementary health check to focus in on a key health issue and empower you take positive, preventive action.

You can book an assessment at a Bupa Centre of your choice, where you’ll find yourself in a relaxed environment with friendly, helpful staff. With over 45 Bupa Centres nationwide, it’s easy to find a centre that’s in a location convenient to you.

All the health assessments include:

  • a medical history and lifestyle questionnaire
  • a physical examination
  • a consultation with a Bupa doctor, trained health adviser or wellwoman nurse
  • the opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns
  • most test results are available on the day
  • a personalised health report usually available on the day
  • an action plan with practical advice to help minimise health risks

Our doctors and health advisers

We choose our doctors carefully; normally they will have been qualified for at least five years and have a broad background of medical experience. Many will have a higher degree – MRCGP, MRCP or equivalent. All will have undergone a training programme to familiarise them with the concept of health assessment and Bupa protocols. All are subject to an initial three-month appraisal and then annual appraisals thereafter, with regular notes audits and report checks.

Our health advisers are all either registered nurses, degree qualified exercise physiologists or hold other health related degrees. All have been specially trained by Bupa so that they have an in-depth understanding of wellbeing and health as it can be influenced by lifestyle. All health advisers are subject to regular appraisal.
