Information for fitness clubs

As a member of the Fitness Industry Association (FIA) you are also enrolled on the Bupa Fitness Connections programme. You'll be able to offer your staff and members Bupa health-related benefits at substantially reduced prices - to add value to the service you already provide. In addition, we'll approve your club and promote it to our members.

Bupa private medical insurance Hide

We have a wide range of options, all designed to cover the cost of private medical treatment and with up to 25% discount.

Bupa Wellness health assessments Hide

These include around 30-40 separate medical tests, results on the spot, and detailed personal health reports; there's also plenty of time to discuss any concerns with a Bupa doctor. Fitness Connections members can receive a 10% discount on Bupa health assessments and other Wellness services including advanced musculo-skeletal and sports injury help.

Bupa TravelCover Hide

Members can receive a 15% saving on annual cover available for European-only or worldwide travel, including business and winter sports options.

Bupa Cash Plan Hide

Fitness Connections' club members can get the first month membership free.

Free promotion opportunities Hide

In return for offering your staff and customers discounts on our services, we want to negotiate special offers at your club for our members, such as reduced joining and membership fees, with free initial personal assessments. We'd then recommend your club to our 3.5 million UK PMI members, and now our health screen customers, too, and actively promote it on your behalf - for free. We promote all Bupa approved Fitness Connections health clubs who make special offers available on bupa.com. This means our members can find out about your club and your special offers easily.

At open days Hide

If you run open days, our health care advisers may be able to come along and tell people about the discounts they're entitled to through Bupa. It's even more of an incentive for them to sign up to your club. Get involved in Bupa Community Connections, a scheme that organises charity events in local communities. Your members can apply to take part in various events, including our highly popular Bupa Great Runs - and your club will benefit from the extra publicity.

Programme with Fitness Industry Association members (FIA)

The FIA ensures its members comply with a certain code of practice, in terms of the quality and service they provide. Bupa is committed to working only with health clubs that belong to the FIA. It gives us the assurance we need to be able to recommend your club to our members.

The Fitness Industry Association (FIA) is a not-for-profit organisation which represents almost 2,500 health and fitness organisations across the UK. Its goal is to get more people, more active more often. It was created and developed with consumers in mind and is designed to assure them that the health club and/or leisure centre they are joining is safe to use and is staffed by qualified trainers who can provide help, counsel and tips. A FIA code of practice has been put in place to help clubs and centres ensure they deliver a defined level of service. The ultimate aim of the government-recognised code of practice is to raise and maintain the standards of clubs and centres across the UK.
