Bupa Forward Planning

Around a fifth of UK women now wait until after the age of 35 to start a family. Our unique new forward planning check allows you to find out the number of eggs you have present in your ovaries.

This test has been developed to predict those women at risk of an early menopause. The “predictive” nature of this test means that ovarian reserve for the following two years can be forecast.

You have a half-hour consultation with a doctor, during which a blood sample is taken. It undergoes a new triple hormone test that can predict how many eggs remain in your ovaries. You can then make an informed decision about whether to try for a baby sooner rather than later. This test can be repeated – to continue to monitor your egg (ovary) count accurately.
