Who is this assessment for?
Our GP Health Review is suitable for anyone who wants extended time to discuss specific health concerns with a doctor.

What does it involve?
Within your consultation, you will have plenty of time to discuss your health with the doctor, and if clinically advised we’ll carry out a personalised range of tests^†. You’ll receive a follow up consultation with your Bupa doctor, either over the phone or face-to-face where you’ll be given clear next steps, including onward referrals if appropriate.

Before your appointment

We’ll send you a pre-review questionnaire to complete and bring with you to your appointment.
You’ll have the opportunity to come in to the centre beforehand to take a blood test. We can then discuss the results of that during your consultation. If you are unable to come in beforehand, we can take the blood sample during the consultation and the results can be reviewed during the follow-up consultation.

GP consultation (up to 45 minutes)

Your initial consultation includes:

- questionnaire review and detailed discussion of your medical concerns
- physical examination, if appropriate
- key health tests including blood pressure and a standard blood profile

If required, we’ll provide a written private prescription, private referral or letter to your GP.
Where considered clinically appropriate the doctor will arrange for additional tests to be completed, this can be discussed in your follow up consultation.

Flexible follow-up consultation (up to 15 minutes)

A phone call or face-to-face consultation to discuss any outstanding results and next steps.
If required, we can provide a written private prescription, private referral and letter to your GP. You will also receive a letter with the key points of your discussion.
