Bupa Health Assessments are available from a range of Bupa Centres nationwide. Alternatively, we can provide On-site Health Checks to employees on your client's premises.

Bupa Advanced Health Hide

Bupa Advanced Health is our most comprehensive assessment and provides an in-depth profile of your health and fitness including:

• an accurate measure of your aerobic fitness
• a “lung age” test
• metabolic rate test
• advice on the best suited exercise for you
• advice on maximising the benefits of your exercise

Duration: up to 2.5 hours
Time with doctor: up to 1 hour
Number of tests: Up to 43
Suitable for ages: 18 to 70

Our advanced health and fitness assessment provides an in-depth profile of employee fitness, health and wellbeing.

Bupa Complete Health Hide

This health assessment provides a full picture of the health of your client's employees. During the assessment they will receive:

• physiological assessments of heart, lungs, abdomen and central nervous system
• an assessment of their risk of heart disease
• checks on blood pressure, cholesterol and heart trace (ECG)
• tests for conditions such as diabetes, gout, anaemia and liver and kidney problems
• a hearing and vision check
• a detailed body composition profile, including body fat percentage
• a testicular examination for men
• a cervical smear and breast examination for women
• advice on their diet and lifestyle

Duration: up to 2 hours
Time with doctor: up to 45 minutes
Number of tests: 42/43
Suitable for: ages18 to70

An in-depth profile of employee health and wellbeing that includes a 45-minute consultation with a Bupa doctor.

Bupa Essential Health Hide

Our wide range of tests include:

• assessment of the heart and lungs
• a detailed blood analysis to test
• a body composition profile

Duration: 70 minutes
Time with doctor: up to 30 minutes
Number of tests: 31
Suitable for: Well people under 40, with no particular health concerns, who want to understand and minimise future health risks. As there are no gynaecological tests it is also ideal for women who already have smears with their GP.
 

Focusing on key health issues, this general check allows employees to get an understanding of their future health risks and how they can be minimised.

NEW - Bupa Core Health Hide

This health check includes a series of tests on key health risk indicators including blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose, as well as measuring body composition. We can also identify risks of developing heart disease and diabetes in the future

Adopt a smarter, proactive approach to employee health

The evidence is clear: prevention really is the best medicine.

• Taking action to avoid weight problems will reduce the risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis and gallstones
• Avoiding or treating high blood pressure will reduce the risk of strokes and kidney failure.
• Knowing the risk of developing diabetes will help employees discover what they can do to avoid developing it.

The Bupa Core Health Assessment provides a robust, accurate measurement of an employees current health and future health risks.

Bupa Female Health Hide

This health assessment for women includes:

• a full assessment of breast and gynaecological health
• a cervical smear test
• blood analysis
• a thorough breast examination
• a mammogram (for women aged 40 or over)

Duration: up to 1 hour
Time with a nurse: up to 1 hour
 

This health check is a good opportunity to seek reassurance about women’s health issues.

Bupa Mature Health Hide

This assessment provides additional tests for conditions that are more likely at this age and includes:

• assessment of heart, lungs, abdomen and central nervous system
• blood pressure, cholesterol heart trace (ECG) tests
• tests for conditions such as diabetes, gout, anaemia and liver and kidney problems
• hearing and vision checks
• a detailed body composition profile, including body fat percentage
• a testicular examination for men
• a cervical smear and breast examination for women
• advice on diet and lifestyle
• details of potential health risks

Whatever their concerns, there's no rush. They'll get plenty of time to discuss them with the doctor. We're here to help them feel better.

Duration: around 2 hours
Time with doctor: up to 60 minutes
Number of tests: 42/43
Suitable for: ages 65 plus 

Specifically for employees over the age of 65, Bupa Mature Health provides an in-depth profile of health and wellbeing and includes a 60-minute consultation with a Bupa doctor.

A good way to check how an employee's health indicators have changed since their assessment, measure their improvement and boost motivation.

Bupa On-site Health Checks

Health checks for employees carried out in your client's workplace. Hide

This service eliminates the need for employees to travel to a health centre during office hours. Your company benefits from your employees receiving a valuable service with minimal disruption to their day.

Option one

The health check includes:

• height and weight measurement
• height to waist ratio
• body mass index
• blood pressure
• body fat percentage
• blood glucose
• lung function test
• full cholesterol blood test
• results review and lifestyle advice with results given on the day

Duration:
30 minutes per health check (a total of 14 can be delivered in one day)
 

Option two

The health checks include:

• Blood Pressure, Full Cholesterol and/or Glucose

Duration:
15 minutes per health check (a total of 26 can be delivered in one day)
 

Option three

The health checks include:

• Blood Pressure
• Full Cholesterol or Glucose

Duration:
10 minutes per health check (a total of 40 can be delivered in one day)
