Finding a consultant

With Bupa, you will have access to consultants who are experts in their field, so you can be confident you are receiving a high standard of treatment and care.

The Bupa consultant guide facility can help you make an informed choice about which consultant you go and see within your area or at a particular hospital. Checking the consultant's status will also help you to identify whether you are likely to have the costs of your treatment covered in full.

We recommend you discuss your options in conjunction with your GP prior to referral, or you could use the consultant guide after your visit if your GP provides you with a referral to see a consultant of your choice. If you need any help or advice, then just call us and we can confirm if your treatment is covered under your policy.

Consultants treating Bupa members must meet Bupa's strict recognition criteria, and most have at least seven years clinical experience so you can rest assured you’re in safe hands.
