Nurses

Registered nurses lead our care. As a Bupa nurse, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day, personal medical care and medication, and also get to know and treat each of our residents as individuals.

Working for Bupa care homes is a chance to grow your nursing career – backed up by a company that invests all its profits back into its care homes.

What care home nurses do

Care home nursing is far more rewarding than just routine nursing. Our nurses are responsible for the all-round care of our residents. Because our care is truly individual – and the medical needs of our residents diverse – every day brings variety and challenge.

Bupa nurses create and manage personal care plans and risk assessments for each resident. They manage teams of carers and oversee daily delivery of personalised care. They are responsible for administering medicine, and working with healthcare professionals outside the home.

They also work one-on-one with residents and their families to give all-round support. Together with the entire care home team, they make our homes a caring, warm, and welcoming environment.

Nurse: A day in the life

Why become a Bupa care home nurse

Bupa care homes are a world away from hospital wards. Our nurses value our homes’ family-feel, the support we give them to do their jobs, and that they have time and flexibility to deliver individual, quality nursing. And because we own our homes and invest all our profits back into our business, our care homes are stable places to work.

With over 300 care homes in the UK, Bupa provides a huge range of opportunities for nurses. All our nurses are supported and encouraged to expand their skills and knowledge with regular training. Training can mean honing your nursing skills, or picking up new skills in management and mentorship to further your career.

The changing, varied needs of our residents will allow your medical skills to shine. And you’ll be part of a team of motivated and talented professionals.
