About the scheme

Bupa LocalCare for members of the No.1 Police Healthcare Scheme is voluntary and available to all UK-based police employees and their families.

At Bupa our aim is to make private health cover more affordable, which is why we continually work to keep subscriptions down by controlling costs and maintaining close associations with hospitals and consultants.

To assist with controlling costs the scheme includes a compulsory £100 excess payable per member each scheme year.
